announces the launch of RTS SolidPrep, a groundbreaking new line of tablet
sample preparation solutions. RTS SolidPrep provides high speed preparation
of tablets and other solid dose pharmaceuticals for assay, impurity and dose
content uniformity applications. Using the SolidPrep most laboratories will
be able to achieve at least three times the throughput when compared to
current manual methods. This improvement in efficiency gives a typical

This scalable product line from RTS Life Science is available as a Benchtop
or Automated system, both of which will be unveiled on booth 2106 at the
35th Annual Meeting & Exposition of the Controlled Release Society, 12-16
July, Hilton Hotel, New York.

As well as dramatically reducing sample preparation time by 90%, RTS
SolidPrep provides benefits including significant reductions in solvent use
and waste, and reproducible homogenization without localized heating or
increased drug degradation. In addition, this innovative patent pending
solution offers disposable in-vessel processing, eliminating the need to
find and clean glassware and significantly reducing the risk of sample cross
talk and operator drug exposures.

The RTS SolidPrep is available to purchase from April 2008 as an evaluation
package. The evaluation package contains the RTS SolidPrep homogenization
instrument, a six tube capacity processing head, all consumables required
during the evaluation period together with consultancy and support from RTS
Life Science. SolidPrep is proven to dramatically improve efficiency and
quality in tablet sample preparation.

The evaluation package allows customers to easily evaluate the RTS SolidPrep
process, with only minor changes to existing manual analytical methods. By
proving the technology is a cost effective solution on the bench, customers
can fast track subsequent adoption of the automated SolidPrep system where
appropriate. The RTS SolidPrep system, in common with all RTS products, is
based around robust and industrial quality engineering.
